Welcome to the home page of the San Carlos Invitational Labor Day Fishing Tournament.  This marks the 24th year of this great event and this is our home on the web.

The event is hosted and sponsored by Friends of Sonora, Inc., a non-profit organization.  Each year's tournament gives us the opportunity to help local charities in their endeavors and to say "thank you" to the community for the hospitality they show us.  Last year, the tournament raised $14,000 for local charities.

The 2006 event was conducted on September 2-4.  The No Host Cocktail Party, Raffle and Auction and the Awards dinner were held at the San Carlos Plaza Hotel.
Fishing was cancelled on Sunday due to weather caused by Hurricane John.

This year the event was conducted without observers.  Each team was issued a disposable camera and after reporting a billfish hookup was provided a control number by Tournament Control.  To verify the release required a photo of the fish at leader with the control number displayed in the photo.  Here is an example taken aboard Sassy Lady.  The control number was 3.
